Privacy Policy — Navy PRT

This policy describes how the Navy PRT mobile application (“the app”) handles information when you use the app published by Atlas Code LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). Navy PRT is a tool to help you work with Navy Physical Readiness Test (PRT) standards, scoring, goals, and your own PRT history on your device.

1. Summary

• The app is designed to work primarily on your device. We do not operate a separate sign-in service or backend in this app that receives your profile or PRT records.
• Information you enter is stored locally on your phone or tablet (for example in the app’s on-device preferences storage), unless you choose features that involve Apple, Google, or your email app, as described below.
• We do not sell your personal information.

2. Information the app processes

Depending on how you use the app, it may process:

a. Profile and planning information (you provide)
Examples include: display name, date of birth (used to derive age for standards), gender (for standards tables), body metrics you choose to enter (such as height and weight), PRT goal inputs, and optional next PRT date information.

b. PRT performance and results (you provide)
Examples include: push-up repetitions, forearm plank duration, 1.5-mile run or walk duration, derived scoring outcomes shown in the app, and timestamps associated with saved records.

c. App preferences (generated on device)
Examples include: flags related to whether you have been shown certain prompts (such as review-related preferences stored locally).

d. Device and system context (automatic)
Like most mobile apps, the operating system and platform services may process technical data (for example app version, device model, OS version) when you use platform features such as in-app review. We do not receive a separate copy of that data through our own servers for this app.

3. How we use information

We use the information described above to:

• Provide core app functionality (standards lookup, scoring, goals, charts, and history you save).
• Remember your inputs between sessions on the same device.
• Operate optional features you trigger (for example opening your email app for feedback, or requesting an in-app store review).

We do not use this information to build an advertising profile in the app. The app does not include third-party advertising SDKs in the current public codebase.

4. Sharing, sale, and disclosure

We do not transmit your saved profile or PRT history to our own servers as part of the app’s normal operation described in our project documentation.

Information may become available to third parties only in these typical situations:

• Apple and Google (in-app review): If you agree to rate or review the app, the platform’s in-app review mechanism may run on Apple’s or Google’s systems. Those companies process information under their own policies. We do not control what minimal telemetry or review eligibility data the platform may collect when that API is invoked.
• Your email provider (optional feedback): If you choose to send feedback by email, your message is handled by your email app and your email provider, not by us, until it reaches the inbox you addressed.
• Legal and safety: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect rights, safety, and security—though the app’s on-device design means we may have little or no access to your locally stored app data unless you send it to us (for example in an email).

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising through this app as currently implemented.

5. Storage, security, and retention

• Storage: Profile data, PRT history, and related app preferences are stored on your device using the platform’s standard app storage mechanisms (for example on-device key–value storage).
• Security: You should protect device access with a passcode, biometric lock, or equivalent. Uninstalling the app or clearing app data from your device settings generally removes locally stored app data, subject to your operating system’s behavior and backups.
• Retention: We retain information only as long as it remains on your device and you have not deleted it. You can remove individual PRT records in the app where that feature is available, edit profile-related fields where exposed in the UI, and use your device’s clear app data or uninstall options to remove local data entirely.

6. Location, contacts, photos, microphone, and sensitive permissions

The app’s purpose is PRT planning and scoring. It does not require continuous location tracking, access to your contacts, camera roll, microphone, SMS, or call logs for core functionality as reflected in the current app configuration. If a future update requests additional permissions, we will update this policy and, where required, in-app disclosures before expanded collection.

7. Children’s privacy

The app is intended for users who need Navy PRT planning and scoring information. It is not directed to children under 13 (or the age required by your jurisdiction). If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the app in a way that concerns you, contact us at the email above. Because we do not operate an account system for this app, we may not be able to delete data from a device we cannot access.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, privacy laws may give you rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of personal information, or to appeal decisions.

For information stored only on your device, the most reliable way to delete it is through in-app deletion (where available), clear app data, or uninstalling the app.

If you contact us and we hold any information you voluntarily sent (such as an email), we will respond consistent with applicable law.

9. International users

If you use the app outside the United States, your information is processed on your device and by platform providers (for example Apple or Google) according to their terms and may be processed in countries where they operate.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy at the same URL and update the “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice as required by law or platform rules.
